You should look at Bobbi Brown, Makeup Forever, Iman (a little old school but still great) as well as a company called Naccara, which is a newer company specifically catered to Women of Color and caters to a spectrum of undertones, which is awesome because most drugstore colors for dark skin girls are either too yellow or pink or non- existent. I've only seen Nacarra in select Shopper Drug Marts in Canada so it may be hard to get your hands on. All the companies previously mentioned are great!

I've been using makeup for a while. I don't do anything too fancy, but i now want use it more & get better at using it. I want to know what are some good brands and products for dark skin. The foundation i use now is MAC studio fix nw45. So far its pretty good but i am open for suggestions for new foundation. I also want to try the sleek contour kit dark.

I think that Makeup Forever goes quite dark and tbh beside foundation you can use any kind of makeup its just knowing how to use it tbh

In MAC I'm NC45/50. I've had success with Bobbi Brown foundation. I use her liquid formula (oil free version) in the summer and her foundation stick during the winter. I also discovered Smashbox BB cream. Contouring I know nothing about whatsoever. The most important thing being a WOC is knowing what your undertone is....I have yellow undertones in my skin so there are some brands that I just can't use because they turn orange on my skin. Hope this helps. :)

I'm an NC44-45 in Mac. I recently just tried out Lancome's new Teint Idole Ultra 24H foundation and I loved it. They've got shades for every skin tone.

I'm a fan of powder mineral foundation and love Meow Cosmetics (I'm NC45 as well). I like Guerlain's bronzer to contour, but also like using a foundation that is a few shades darker.

I would say Bobbi Brown they have a really good range and also if possible Sleek, they have like 30 shades which is amazing, and I'm yet to come across a person who cant find their shade in Sleek

Fashion Fair is a line just for women of color, they have amazing cream to powder foundation, sticks and liquid...work wonders for me and even my darker skinned clients.

I use the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation in Caramel Dark, but like Shinay W. said Fashion Fair is an amazing line for WOC. I am the shade Brown Sugar in their stick foundation. But for drugstore I like the Revlon ColorStay, my summer shade is Cappuchino. Look at Iman and the CoverGirl Queen Collection at the drugstore for more drugstore friendly products for WOC.

Becca. Try it! For WOC it is the business! I wouldn't use Maybelline or Cover Girl. I'm not even too hyped up about Iman, Bobbi Brown or Fashion Fair either.
