If i'm traveling with large amounts of makeup, I always bring everything that I can in my carry on (powders, blushes, eyeshadow etc.) The things that I can't take on my carry on I usually wrap in bubble wrap and make sure it is stuffed extra tightly in my suitcase so it doesn't get tossed around

So I'm moving to los angeles and I'm not sure how I can take ALL my makeup and have it all safe. Can j carry on all of it or should I bubble wrap my breakables and put it in between my clothes. Any suggestion??

If you're working with a tight budget I suggest bubble wrap and packing it between your clothes. If money is no object...bubble wrap it and box it all up and ship it via FedEx or UPS (add insurance in case it gets lost/damage). My sister-in-law did that when she moved to Chicago. Gave her one less thing to stress about.

I agree with Shelley both of those will work just carryon what you can and absolutely need!

Clothes and bubble wrap for liquid and glass containers sealed in a ziplock bag for check-in... Pressed powders, expensive brushes and delicate breakables packed carefully in your carry-on. This is how I usually pack when flying. =]

any nail polish you plan on taking pack in plastic ziplock bags... depending on where you go, they may explode... moved from oregon to florida, checked my polish at the grand cayon and they were looking pretty in the bottom of my purse.
