Be regular with posts. Sometimes, I'll go on a youtube channel, and I'll immediately turn away just because they haven't uploaded a video in 3 months. Use your own pictures, and give solid material. If you're just going to do posts about your life, it won't be immediately appealing. Make sure that you really know what you're talking about. There are so many new gurus that seem completely clueless, so make sure that you can make some of your content rather advanced and thorough. At least as far as with looks and reviews. And network. Check out other peoples blogs, and comment! Hope this helps :)

do: be yourself & have fun developing your blog. Be sure to incorporate photos, so your readers would be interested in your posts.
don't: don't follow or copy what other bloggers are doing with their blog. Remember, it is your work. Nobody else :)
be original, and people will love to visit your blog more often :)

DO...have a clean layout
DO...creat quality unique content. There are 1,000,001 beauty blogs out there.
DO NOT...focus on the numbers starting off. It is going to take a while to gain a large following.
DO...promote yourself. I see you have a YouTube channel. This is a great way to drive traffic to your blog.
DO...Network, learn from, draw inspiration from, and follow other blogs.
DO NOT...Get discouraged.
DO...It for the love of beauty!

Definitely take a chance and start a beauty blog, if you really feel like it!
Don't feel discouraged about followers or hits. Everyone starts with 0.
Take the time to create quality content. Learn how to take good pictures, write properly, etc.
Interact with your readers. If someone comments, respond to them or thank them. Visit other beauty blogs and interact with them. You can draw inspiration from each other and build good friendships.
