Hey guys, I am currently a college student (getting a degree to please my parents) but have been doing some freelancing work on the side.
Do any of you makeup artists out there have any suggestions for packing your kit?
What foundations do you use & What colors do you always keep on hand?
Let me know <3
As far as foundation goes you want something that is multi use, something you can build up or sheer out to provide the perfect coverage for your specific needs.also you want something that is going to look good on camera and that is easily blendable.I do not know wether or not you want something in one whole palette, but i myself being a freelance mua find it easier to have a palette of foundations instead of single bottles or jars of foundation.Theres many brands, some are,Graftobian HD Cream Foundation,Rcma, and Ben Nye
That was something I was concerned about as well, wanting to become a MUA on how/where to go about finding foundation palettes that contain ALL shades to compliment everyone and price of what that would be?
The brands i listed above are all affordable . I personally use the graftobian hd creme foundation palette which will run you about $63.99-65.99 depending on where you order it from. They have three different ones you can choose from and they are the neutral ,warm,or cool palettes. I personally started out with the warm palette because i found that alot of people have warm undertones . All of their foundations are true to skin colors and are soo easy to work with. Now with all the palettes i listed above these are like sample palettes but a little goes a long way...a really long way so it will definetly last you a significant amount of time. Feel free to look up reviews on youtube about these products because there are alot of them.

There are about 5 posts asking the same question in this forum already - check those out and I'm sure you'll get a ton more info.
This is what I carry on set:

FYI, you can make palettes with your own foundations as well, and can also repackage them into smaller, more portable containers.
