I am looking for an amazing bright yellow nail polish. But I would love to find a polish where I don't have to use more the two coats to get a great color payoff. Any suggestions?
brightest in my collection is orly's spark, which has the faintest shimmer. definitely a two coater if you do it right. but i only own 4 yellow polishes so i've been on the hunt myself!
do you want more like a bright neon, shimmer or no?
i have sally hansen's insta-dri in lightning (yellow) but haven't used it in about a year. i remember that after a day or two, i could just peel the whole layer of polish off of nail. it was a great yellow, went on pretty decent as i recall, but i could never figure out the peeling. not sure if it was because of using thicker coats or maybe the top coat i was using.
china glaze is releasing a summer neons collection (in march?) & it has a yellow called "sun-kissed" but there's not even swatches out of it yet.
Sally Hansens extreme wear in Mellow Yellow is great, it lasts for ever, for me at least. And you definetly only need two coats you could even get away with only one. And even though it's called Mellow Yellow it's very vibrant.
Yeah I'm really considering trying the Sally Hansen yellow's first since it is more accessible to me until I can make it to Sephora or Ulta to try the higher end brands. I worry though because I haven't had good luck with the sally brand.
China Glaze's Sunshine Pop, from the Electropop collection. HOLYWTFSOYELLOW. And it has a subtle, almost unnoticeable shimmer that just takes it up a notch. BAM.
It's the yellow I used for this look (:
@Dylan... Pretty! I did my nails plain because they are really short right now.
@Alexa... No matter what drugstore I went to... I could never find that color. The Yellow color in general was hard to find because its so popular right now. I bought the Color club because they sell it at the nail spa I go to.

Either neon or with shimmer is fine. I was thinking about picking up the Sally Hansen Yellow... Have you used that one?

I've tried OPI's I Need Sunglasses it's terrible.
I've tried Silk Line, it's the same.
I've tried Sally Hansen Xtreme wear (pastel yellow), no different.
I'm desperate for a good yellow, but just like in paint, it's a tricky colour! I find if you use a white base underneath it helps.

Just do a layer of white underneath to make it opaque and pop!

I also heard you can do a layer of black underneath to make it darker but I think I will try the white instead :)
