Pore strips only remove a tiny bit of the blackhead. There is still gunk under the skin that the pore strip doesn't pick up. Extraction tools can work but be gentle with them and prep your skin first. Use it after you get out of the shower when your skin is warm and softened and be gentle!!!

Like Mindy said, the gunk still stays inside! :((( the strips never worked for me

Besides using the pore strips and blackhead removing tools it's good to exfoliate and cleanse/tone with products that contain salycic acid so that it penetrates the pores and removes the gunk from inside.

I use Clean&Clear Blackhead Clearing Scrub. It works for me, takes off the blackheads and all the gunk in the pours. It has Salicylic Acid which is the secret to getting rid of blackheads. My face is always clear from those suckers!

The strips never worked for me either! I've had some luck with using toners with salycilic acid to clear them up somewhat but seems like nothing has gotten rid of them completely. I've heard you have to be really careful using those tools.

The BEST pore strip I tried are the Boscia Pore Purifying Black Strips. It's $15 for a pack of 6. It is pricey...but I use 1 per week and then continue to exfoliate!
Hope this helps!

I like Biore pore strips - there's just something so satisfying about peeling it off and then seeing the amount of blackheads stuck on it!
I pair that with regular exfoliating and although I can't say I am 100% free from blackheads, my nose does look way better now.

No strips, no tools!
At home blackhead removal: Cleanse, exfoliate (try the old sugar and lemon scrub), warm compresses. With cotton covered fingers gently press either side of the blackhead and "wiggle" the skin. (Your trying to get under the pore and get that nasty plug up and out!)....use a good magnifying mirror, if the opening isn't open leave it alone!!
Muah!!
