Thanks guys! @Soma that's great that they are affordable! I was a little cautious, lol.
@Amber P. No, I don't. I wash it every other day or sometimes two days. And I don't take hot showers. I take warm showers. And I leave my conditioner in for like, three minutes, and wash it out with COLD water. I do everything I'm supposed to. :P
I am a hair colorist and wanted to warn you that sulfate free shampoo can be also very drying if used consistently over a long period of time. I recommend you alternate shampoos so your hair gets what it needs.
Do you wash your hair daily? If you do it doesn't matter what you use, your hair will get oily! When you was your hair daily you are striping your hair of it's natural oils and your scalp goes nuts and overproduces oil. It is trying to compensate for the overwashing, try to go every other day and see what happens. And you should also try to wash your hair in cooler water, hot water is bad for your hair and skin! Hope this helps, and yes sulfate shampoos are excellent. I use Pureology.
I just picked up the nourish line from trader joes and am excited to try it! More so excited over the fact most of trader joes bath products are under $5! INSANE!
I have to use sulfate free shampoos and conditioners because my curly hair reacts like a monster otherwise. In the past I noticed the more a product suds up the dryer my hair became. Your hair will love you for making the switch to sulfate free.
Give ABBA a try. I just bought a bottle of shampoo and conditioner and LOVE it so far! I've been on a long search to find a good sulfate free shampoo, and so far I think this one is the best. Smells AWESOME and the moisture kind has mint in it and feels absolutely amazing on my scalp. Kind of prices but I was able to get a liter of each at Ulta for $14.99 each (shampoo was normally $30 and the conditioner was $32)
Sulfate shampoo is very good and gentle for the hair. Especially for color treated hair. Sulfate is the bubbes thatnyou get when you shampoo or in othrr words lather. When you use a sulfate shampoo you are not gonna get much of a lather and this is normal, you might be using too much shampoo or conditoner if your getting oily. If your using professional products that only use a quater size at the maximum!!! Also try using its a 10 shampoo and conditioner its thr best out on the professional market. The downside to it is that its costly but it will last you forever and isnmivh better for your hair!
Does Sulfate free shampoo even clean your hair? I find when I was using WEN it made my hair super shiny and bouncy and soft... But it got oily super fast. I want to switch to sulfate free shampoos and conditioners, but I just can't fathom that it would actually clean my hair. I need a good one, I guess. Any suggestion? I need as much help as I can get on this topic! lol

Honestly? I've used shampoos with SLS or SLES and shampoos without them. It makes no difference whatsoever to my hair; it still gets clean.
