Makeup Artist Resume Advice/Tips!

I am a makeup artist myself and I have been working freelance for myself the past two years since finishing my makeup certificate.

It has been terribly hard to break into makeup retail and I was wondering whether any other makeup artists have had this issue.

I thought it would be a fun idea to share resume/cover letter tips in order to help each other out and improve our chances of getting employed! XO

Yes resume is the key to get employed and bring in a portfolio to them to see your work. Good luck!

Make sure that on your resume you put anything you specialize on it. As well make sure you know proper vocabulary to use when you go into the interview. A lot of people are written off for not being confident in the words they use to describe a service/product
