Alright folks. I need a little reassurance. I usually have no issue with covering unnatural hair color, but I just want to make sure I don't look like a hot mess. I currently have a VERY faded teal to purple underneath my bangs. It's to the point the teal is like a sea foam green and the purple is a pastel pink with the blonde from the bleach beginning to appear throughout. I've usually kept up with it since I did it in June (re-dye every 2 weeks to keep the color fresh), but college started up and I got lazy. The rest of my hair is a reddish brown and I just wanted to dye it to match the rest. Am I gonna get a funky color if I dye over the faded-ness??
Here's a picture of the current color:

After you wash your hair a few times the brown color is going to fade and then it'll look funky.. So you'll have to dye it again more times so the bleached hair adhere the color

=/ man I don't want to super damage my hair, I am growing it out because I'm sick of short hair, I miss my long hair. Is there any way I can wash all the teal/purple out and just leave it a bleached color? I'm sure that would take re-bleaching though right? I might try some dish soap on the color to see if it'll lift any, though I doubt it sine it's been colored for a couple months....

you could just use a colour lifter? i know there's one around called colour oops, but i'm not sure who makes that, because i usually just dye over it and it turns out, well, okay haha.

Use a blue shampoo for blonde hair... It'll lift the color out faster without rebleaching.

Kitty- So do you think I could just buy a shade lighter than what I am right now- (I don't want to be so dark anymore... I want to dye it a darker sandy brown)- and not have any ill side effects?
Soma- I'll look into that!

I would first use Color Opps, it take out all deposit hair color leaving the natural color underneath. i assume where the crazy colors are you have bleached it out so you'll have to dye it to match the rest.
P.S. Color Opps is ammonia free so you can use it and re dye your hair in the same day with out worrying about damage.
