There is actually a lot of titanium dioxide in it for an SPF 6; you never know when it might cause the flashback. No professional foundations have SPF in them. Also if people see Revlon in your kit they might not see you as a professional.

Thx for the advice Jamie.. I'll have a look on that website.. Revlon colorstay foundations look great in pictures, with and without flash. I know that foundations with an SPF could make you look like a ghost in pictures :P but it doesn't seem to happen with the revlon colorstay. The combo to oily skin one contains 6 SPF and the normal to dry skin contains 15 SPF. Maybe it doesn't cast that whiteness over the face because there is so little in it.. I'll definitely have a look at the cinema secrets one and the graftobian one (which I hear a lot of good stuff about). I'll have to order those on line too.. But I'd still wanna know about the yellow toned or natural shades of the colorstay foundations.

I would not recommend colorstay for your kit. There are much better professional products with comparable prices but much better quality. I would go to inmykit.com for product recommendations and shade recommendations. I am a big fan of cinema secrets ultimate foundation and graftobian HD foundation. These look great in person and in photos. Also because ColorStay has SPF it will not be a professional foundation because SPF can sometimes cause flashback in photos. I'm not sure what type of work you intend to do, but usually when makeup is involved someone is taking pictures and you don't want to show people bad pictures of your work.

Hi beauties!

What i think is weird about the colorstay foundations is that not only the consistency is different between the normal to dry and combo to oily, the colors aren't the same in both categories. My sister is a 320 true beige in the Combo/Oily skin range but tottaly doesn't match the 320 true beige in the Normal to dry skin section, but she has dry skin. That's why I find it hard to choose the right colors for my kit..

Could anyone please tell me which of the two colorstay foundations i should buy for my kit. I figured 3 out. (i'll mostly have yellow toned clients)

- Nude (C/O)
- Medium Beige (N/D)
- Fresh beige (C/O)
- True beige (C/O)
- Golden Beige ?
- Warm Golden ?
- Natural Tan ?
- Early Tan ?
- Rich Tan ?
- Golden Caramel ?
- Toast ?
- Rich Ginger ?
- Caramel ?
- Cappucino ?

I have a reference to the MAC foundation colors but don't know wich of the two foundations they mean. I cant go and see for myself because here in holland we only have 5 shades of each consistency. So i have to order on line..

Ivory: NW 15 lightest of the bunch
Buff: NC20 best match for fair NCs
Sand Beige: NC20-25 with somewhat neutral undertones
Nude: NC25 with peachy undertones, definitely not for pinks or true golden
Natural Beige: NW20 tends to run pink
Medium Beige: NC27 between Sand Beige and Golden Beige
Fresh Beige: NW25 with pinky undertones
Golden Beige: NC30 with truest yellow/olive undertones
Warm Golden: NW30/NC30 with somewhat neutral undertones
True Beige: NW30 with pinky undertones (for Fresh Beige in summer)
Natural Tan: NC40/NC42 more neutral than golden caramel
Early Tan: NW35 with somewhat peach undertones
Rich Tan: NC 40/42 with yellowish undertones
Golden Caramel: NC40/NC42 more golden than natural tan
Toast: NW43/NC45 with neutral undertones
Rich Ginger: NW45 very peachy-pink
Caramel: NC45 seems to run true to color
Cappucino: NC50 slightly more peach than Caramel
Mahogany: NW50/NC55 the darkest of NWs but not extremely peachy
Mocha: NW55 seems to be very cool toned, almost grey undertone

Can someone please help me out...
