Hey everyone! I think that the Urban Decay Naked Pallete is beautiful, but on the pricey side. I have a Sephora Gift card that I can use to buy it, but I'm just not sure. I don't know if I should buy it or maybe get some other things...HELP??!!!

Just bought my Naked palette yesterday! Ive been waiting for over a year because it's been out of stock, and it is definitely well worth the wait and price. Like Soriya said, there aren't that many matte colors included, but there is definitely so many shimmery gorgeous colors that really light up eyes. Urban Decay eyeshadows are well worth the price in general, and so is the Naked palette--you get 12 eyeshadows, a $17 brush, and the Primer Potion for just $48. It's great for everyday and even night with the colors "Creep" and "Gunmetal". If you ask me, it's a fantastic deal. :)

I completely agree w/ Soriya. There aren't enough mattes in it for me to consider it an "All-In-One" palette. There's good pigmentation, and it is convenient to throw into a travel bag w/ a few mattes to accompany it, but the brush I received w/ the kit was useless to me. I do drink up their primer like water though, so that was useful.

Great if you're a beginner building up a neutral collection, but if you have many already, invest in something that will last you long, like a good foundation brush or save it to put it to something really pricey you've been eyeing for a while.

The Naked palette is a no-brainer though. You can literally do your makeup with your eyes closed and choosing random colors. It's up to you, but personally, it only scores 3 out of 5 stars for me.

It really depends on your preference, if you prefer more matte or shimmer colors. But the naked palette like everyone here has said is majority shimmer colors.

For my personal preference, I really like the palette because it is a neutral palette and I use it everyday. And I like the pigmentation of the shadows, very pretty.

Like Marian said, it is a good deal because you are getting a lot for your money but I admit it still is a bit pricey. If you want to go a more cheaper route, you can get the coastal scents palette or the bh cosmetics palette which are great alternatives :)

I love my Naked Palette. If you are into the more neutral eye then you will love this. I use mine almost everyday. I may not use only those colors but I use atleast 1 to 2 colors each time. This was by far my best purchase I have ever made with my makeup. I even love this more then my Dinair airbrush machine... haha. I would recommend this to anyone. I love doing a neutral eye for everyday and this is the only colors that I go to for that. I have owned this since the week it came out and I have not hit pan on any of the colors yet.

I ADORE my Naked palette. You can get sooooooo many looks out of it. However, if you are not a shimmer person this is not the palette for you! If you're iffy on it I would use my gift card for something I'm really sure I want because that palette is not cheap at all. Let us know what you decide!!!

I'm also more of a matte girl, but I can deal with Naked and Buck being matte. I adore Hustle too but I don't know if that is completely matte. Even though there are way more shimmers than matte, Naked is still my favourite.

I got it and UD is really a good brand. I must agree that it needs matte shadows but UD's matte shadows are unpopular that I think they might have discontinued it. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You're wrong. They still make matte shadows; they're not going anywhere.

Depending on what you've already got should be the determining factor. It's a quality product, without question.. but if you've already got similar colours you can pass on it and grab something else.

It is nice for travel though, I often just take the Naked palette with the Vanity (Wet & Wild) palette for a few more matte options.

Shelly, she's kind of right. At this time Urban Decay only has 11 matte shades compared to the 55 normal shimmers/glitters found among their normal line or 9 Stardust shadows. Among the 13 Deluxe Shadows only Zero is a "matte". So they have 88 shades total and only 11/12 of those 88 are mattes.

The Naked Palette has 2 matte shadows and they are both wonderful. I have not met one person who did not love this palette.

i fell in love with this product. the pigmentation, color selection, and the fact it came with a primer/brush... honestly, not having enough matte colors really isn't a big deal. i'm sure you can buy a different matte color from the drugstore, or even have one from another palette... its really perfect and that shouldnt be the determining factor.

I really love my Naked palette and use it almost everyday! Even though it is made up of neutral colors, there are still SO many looks that you can achieve with this. I don't mind only having 2 matte colors, either. I generally go towards shimmers, anyways.

I just posted a review on my blog with some swatches.

so would all of you say it is worth the money?? or should i spend my $50 on something else from sephora??

The answer to that depends. Do you wear neutral and browns often enough to justify buying it? If not then hold off or buy an ELF Beauty Book in Neutral since it's a good Naked dupe.

I love my Naked Palette and I've used it pretty much every day since I got it [which was quite a while back].
I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
It was definitely worth the money I spent.

I absolutely love my Naked Palette. It is pricey and yes, it does lack matte colors, as much as I'd like, but it does have a great pigmentation payoff. An awesome alternative to the palette is the NYX Nude on Nude Palette that is about $25 at Ulta!!! It offers more colors and more mattes. It also has lip glosses! Pigmentation is awesome as well.

I was pretty hesitant when I purchased this palette too, and the gift card I had covered a little more than half the price. I am a bit of an Urban Decay junkie, so when I get ahold of a gift card and I find a palette filled with many UD shadows that I do not already own, I go for it. Heck, I was never a big fan of neutrals, but I find myself grabbing this palette almost every day. So to answer your question, get it as long as you don't have too many overlapping shadows from previous palettes or you have a ton of dupes all in one convenient palette.

I love my naked palette but it does depend on if you like shimmer. I love shimmery eyeshadow so this is a perfect palette for me I would recommend this to anyone who loves shimmer as much as I do

Get it, get it, get it! :D
...but only if you like shimmer. When the Naked Palette was finally being sold again, I pounced on it because I had found it online one day and fell in love. When I finally got it I was definitely not disappointed.

Karah, I have been asking myself the same question but since I've heard mostly good and no bad, Im going to go ahead and take the leap and get myself some great eyeshadows! :)

I LOVE the Urban Decay Naked palette.....but it is very pricey, so ELF has this book of shadows in neutral and they have the same exact colors as the UD one.......the colors are not as pigmented, but then again its only 5 bucks.......if you just use very good eye primer the color will be just as good as the UD palette!

I would give it a try! It's worth saving 50 bucks or so...
