Does anyone use MAC FIX + spray? I bought it a few years ago and really loved it. I came across a video that shows you how to make your own so I tried it. I was surprised when I used it that it really has the same effects as MAC's FIX +, except this didn't cost me anything bc I had all the products at home already. If anyone is interested in trying it these are the things you'll need:
- a small spray bottle
- a bottle of water (distilled)
- Glycerin
- 91% alcohol (for sterilization)
1. Pour some alcohol into the spray bottle ( you only need a tiny bit) Put the top back on the spray bottle and shake it around really well. You wanna make sure any bacteria or chemicals that contaminated the bottle are cleared out.
2. Then with the alcohol still in the spray bottle, get a cup or jar and spray it into the cup. Spray most of the remaining alcohol into the cup. This will also sterilize the tube and the nozzle of the spray bottle.
3. Then, take off the cap and pour some of the bottled water into the spray bottle to flush out the remaining alcohol. Again, shake the spray bottle and spray again into the cup. Then pour the water and alcohol into the jar.
*Now the spray bottle is sterilized*
4- You're going to use 1 part glycerin and 3 parts water. You can use a measuring spoon, table spoon (whatever you want that will actually give you a good measurement).
5. I like to use the cap to the alcohol bottle, pour the glycerin right up to the top of the cap. ( Be careful bc glycerin is thick and sticky so when you pour it into the bottle try not to spill any)
6. Take the same cap and pour 3 parts of the water into the bottle
7. Put the top back on the bottle and mix it by shaking it for about 30 seconds or until you feel its mixed completely.
So thats it, now you have your own MAC FIX +
I wouldn't use it over 2 weeks, so if you like it try to remember when you made it so you can make more 2 weeks later. Let me know if anyone tries this and what you thought. xoxo
