NARS Blush vs. Tarte Amazonian

I am looking for a new blush and I cant decide between the 2 brands. I have heard great things about both. They are both expensive so either way, Im not getting away cheap here (which I really wanted too). I have no clue what color I would be (that always seems to be my down fall... I never can find a good color over the internet).

Has anyone tried both of these? And if so, which one would you recommend? Also... if you know of anything that is less money that lives up to the same hype PLEASE TELL!!!

I have both in my collection right now, and I was and still am an avid NARS blush user, but I am really loving the Tarte Amazonian Clay ones right now. I like that its natural, and sun baked, I also like that it is SO potent that a little goes a long way for sure. It also helps that it lasts the entire day and doesn't look washed out toward the end of the day.

Also, Tarte has a sale on their website going on right now for 25% off w/ code EARTHDAY2011 thru April 25, 2011, so this will make the blush a little cheaper on your pockets! I have medium skin and tried the color FLUSH, which is a plumy purple and I love it. Natural Beauty is also gorgeous, I just thought it was too similar to NARS orgasm and too many other blushes I have, so opted out, but you may love it! The variety in shades is great!

Thanks so much for your input. I actually bought NYX Pinched b/c it is a great Dupe for Nars Orgasm. I actually love it. I am going to check out Tarte's website today. I got the email about the sale... very excited about it!!! I may actually just purchase one of the amazonian clays. Thanks again for giving your input!!!

Hey Jordan, I loved tipsy! When i swatched it it was a beautiful tangerine orange. It can be considered a coral as well, but definitely more of an orange look to it, at least on my skin. With a light hand I'.m sure it will look gorgeous on you, these blushes are super build-able as well so that's always a plus! xo

So I think I might wait on the Tarte Blush for a week or so.

Which brings me to this question::
Have you tried any of the Benefit Blushes??
I swatched Bella Bamba && Coralista.
And liked both.
What's your opinion on them if any??

I actually just bought the Tarte Amazonian Clay. There was a special going on, on QVC the other night and that was included in the special. Once I try it... I will post here and let everyone know how it is. I am so excited to get it in the mail!!!!!

Not much of a NARS fan because my face reacted terribly to their formulations. The Amazonian Clay Blushes from Tarte are so lovely, and I'm so glad I grew the guts to try building a blush collection again since I had such a terrible reaction to NARS, MAC and many other HE brands.

Tarte's blushes are very pigmented. They do feel a little chalkier than those of NARS and MAC, but I think that's because they stick to the more natural ingredients VS. putting fillers into their formula for the extra "Slip" that's so desireable in blendability.

I still much prefer Tarte, and to remedy the slight chalkiness that varies from color to color, I just find a really good quality synthetic brush to pick up the product to not overdo the application. QVC has great sets, and so does ULTA and Sephora. So far, QVC has the better deal when it comes to Tarte starter sets though... so check it out! I have Tipsy and Dollface... and soon to be Peaceful. My only complaint is that some can be TOO shimmery/glittery for my taste... but the matte colors are absolutely lovely.

@ Rachael: OMG, I am too! Such a great deal! I was lucky I got it at $49, but even at the price it is at now, it is still such a great price for all those full-sized items! This was my first time ordering from QVC, and I'm curious to try the Auto-Delivery option one day... [I'm scared to though, since I'll probably let my inner-Peggy Bundy out to play even more so if I do!]  =P

I bought it the night it was the special... so I guess mine was $49 also. I forget, I was 1/2 sleeping when I ordered. I dont do auto delivery b/c I normally change my makeup routine every few months so I will be onto something new.

I went to sephora this holiday vacation and the blushes from Tarte are nice, I always get dupes for Nars because I thought they were overpriced but the quality is great. I would recommend you try either or, you will not be sorry

nars is really pigmented and so is amazonian but i find nars doesn't stay put for long as opposed to amazonian

I have both brands- NARS in Orgasm and Tarte in Tipsy. I honestly love them both and alternate between them. The tipsy is a more coral shade so I wear it more in spring summer. You won't be disappointed with either one.
