Hi Ladies!
Looking for some advice. On days when I don't want to put too much effort into my makeup routine I usually just use a powder foundation (MAC Studio Fix) or MAC's mineralize skinfinish natural. I noticed though that after using moisturizer, primer, concealer and powder my face tends to look a little dry/ashy. I also have trouble keeping my concealer from fading/settling into lines, creasing, etc.
I use the Revlon One Step compact foundation and love it. Its a powder and foundation in one and works really well, gives me a matte finish. I use this when I dont have much time, and can apply it quickly.
I usually put moisturizer, liquid foundation, concealer and powder foundation + blush and sometimes luminizer... but I don't have any of these problems because I usually put very very little of everything and blend it really well, so it looks flawless... try using the less possible, it should solve your problems and your skin will look amazing as well...especially coz I can see you've got some really great products you're using
maybe you can try letting the moisturizer/primer set a little longer?
i actually switched up the way i put on powder foundation after watching Koren's video on how to apply powder foundation. I must say less ashy/powdery/cakey looking! :)
I use to have the same problem! Try using less as some people have suggested, just build it up. Also use a face primer, Urban Decay has good ones, they didn't work that well on me but I know others that it did. I use L'Oreal Studio Secrets Magic perfecting base & its perfect!
