I have super fine thin hair which I tease everyday. I'm so sick of teasing. It doesnt always stay. I'm looking for products where I can just apply & blow dry for volume. I've used several volume products but it doesnt work. My hair is too thin & long. Any tips will be helpful.

Hi Pang - Have you ever tried dry shampoo? All you need to do is spray it right at the root of your hair (with your head upside down), layers in your hair would definitely help as well! Goodluck!

I have thin hair and my HG volumizing product is the Tresemme 24 Hour Body volumizing mousse! It's fabulous!

Yes, I've used dry shampoo & volume mousse. It doesnt work either. I am now using big sexy hair volumizing blowdry gel plus aussie assume volumizing mousse. Still doesnt work. I even shampoo it with renpure volumizing shampoo & conditioner, which is organic. Still does not work. I guess my hair is dead or something. I'm so hopeless. Thanks for the tips though.

Have you tried a hair masque? Some sort of deep-treatment? All else fails you could cut and start over :\

Oooh doll!
I as well have the so fine hair you don't need to brush daily, my BEST advice is after I get out of the shower and take a towel to it I brush my hair back and use Victoria's Secret "So sexy" volumizing mousse from root to tip flip my head down and blow dry, when done I brush out and boy do I got some volume! Good luuuccckkk and let me know how it goes!

Kris, I am using a deep pentrating conditioner right now. Not working as well. Thanks Chelsea. I'll have to try that out & be posting the result soon.

I have the same problem, flat volumeless hair but I just have tons of it on my head. My fave product to use is the Aveda Pure Abundance Hair Potion. It's a dry powder that you dust onto your roots and it gives amazing lift.

Hi Pang,
I have the exact same problem. Try Bed Head's SuperStar blowdry lotion. It really works for me and it doesn't feel sticky or like you have anything in your hair.

See this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hQbSfjYFPU

Good luck! I hope that helps!

Pang - Here's a little post we just did on getting volume to fine hair!

The secret to preventing your style from falling flat is to use hairspray as your root lifter. First, apply smooth balm from the midshaft down and blow-dry in 2- to 3- inch sections using a large-size round brush. Start at the nape of the neck, working your way toward the front. When you reach the crown, mist roots with a strong-hold spray and pull hair up and forward as you dry to create volume.

My hair is the same and I have the same problem..(I use all these steps a night before without using any heat tools) What I use is Tresemme's Natural Radiant shampoo and conditioner and after the shower I use Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum and towel dry...once my hair is semi dry and wet I twist it and put it up on a bun..and then after a few hours my hair has lots of volume...

The picture shows the results..Hope this helps

i spray my hair upside dwn, lift it at the roots afterwards and spray more lol.. i agree with the dry shampoo thing, try the new tresemme or ojon.. also theres a product called fat hair that i find is very helpful, as well as got2b's root lifter! or just clip pieces of it up while it dries, then spray the roots again =] hope that helps!

Velcro rollers do wonders for me! Make sure though that you use the big ones though. Put them in as soon as your done blow drying your hair.

Thanks! I'll try it out!

How Long is your hair? Do you have layers in it? With my clients I always Suggest for a cut- A lot of textured layers. Then for styling, Velcro Rollers are great, My All Time favorite it Hot Rollers the ones from Remington heated clips and rollers they heat up super fast and have a 4 year warranty. they are great its only the large and medium, also I think you can get a set of just Jumbo. My I love product as well my Favorites Are- By Blow (The new york Blow dry bar) Blow it up (Root Lifter) Ready Set Blow (Its a super lightweight blow dry lotion) The Blow it up Also comes as a volume shampoo and conditioner. And also the what a body from sexy hair is good. My favorite hairspray for holding my hair is the Redken its a number 23 hold Redken's strongest hold. I hope this helps you!!!

I cant tease my hair i just get it all knoty. i tryed bump its & it my hair just fell right to the side of it..i always want to have a little poof, but i seem to get it. I went to cosmtolgey school & they taught us a really werid way to tease hair, that was confusing. So i just clip up my bangs & push them foward to create volume lol

When you want volume on the go and don't have the products you could try to part your hair on the opposite side than you normally do. It will make a decent amount of difference.

My hair is NOT straight ot thin....but my sister's is. She blowdrys her hair upside down and then scrunches with a little bit of mouse or braids her hair and sleeps on it and tustles with it in the morning...and it works well for her.

root plumping spray. i like the got2b lines one they also have a mousse and something else, maybe a hairspray but works almost instantly. it has collagen in it, so it should plump your hair right up.
