Okay, so the right side of my face is soo ugly. I used to think it was just a ton of acne on my cheek, but no matter what I would do it wouldn't go away. So I just looked up "acne scarring" on google to see what it looks like and that's exactly what I have all over my right cheek.
Now I am really sad. It just makes my heart sink knowing that I'm probably going to be stuck with this disgusting stuff on my face for the rest of my life. I probably sound really stupid saying all of this, but it really kills my confidence. And the worst part is it still shows through my foundation. :( And I use liquid foundation, concealer, AND then a powder foundation.
So anyways, does anybody have any advice or anything that really did wonders for their acne scarring?

:( I'm so sorry that you're stressing over your scarring :(
I find the best thing you can do is stay out of the sun. Any exposure to sun will darken the pigments in the exposed tissues (after popping).
I know everyone says not to pop your pimples, but I feel like NOT popping makes my scars more prominent. Make sure to pop your pimple well if you decide to pop them at all.
Good luck, hun! I hope this helped at least a tiny bit~

Exfoliate. scarring is deep in the dermis layer of the skin. it will eventually go away as the skin shads. to help it along use a good scrub 3 times a week. I like Origins modern friction rice scrub (rice extract also helps with discoloration) and dermalogica skin prep scrub. neither is too abrasive to cause more scarring but both do amazing jobs at lifting the dead skin and sloughing it away. You will also find that exfoliating 3 times a week will help deminish future breakouts (speaking from experience). Hope that helps and good luck.

My friend has the same problem...I used t work in a dermatologist's office and we offer acne scar solution, its normally around $20-30...its comes in a bottle and you apply it with a cotton ball. It basically uses light acid to correct skins texture. Its gentle and pretty cheap:). It helps a lot of the patients we had with medium-deep scarring. I would totally suggest looking online for some it works great! I would also recomend clinique they have a lot of good coloration eveners and natural skin boosters. Also vitamin e to help improve skin condition and exfoliation works wonders! Good luck girly I hop this helps! :)

you are so beutiful! it all depends on what scaring you have. is it ice picks? just scar spots?? you have the option of laser and skin peels but if its just marks i would suggest a product with benzoyl peroxide

It may fade or go away! I had scared really bad around Feb. when I changed foundations and broke out really bad. I was upset cause it was on my right cheek and like 5 spots really bad. From then on I just made sure I kept up with washing my face every night before bed and using Clearasil Face wash and giving my self off days from makeup. I made sure I washed my cell phone and house phone almost everyday. I washed my pillow case every other day. I just did everything I could to keep my skin clean. It got better and better and now I barely can see the scars at all.

It's all pretty much just dark marks. It's not craters (sorry, that's probably not the most appropriate word for it, but i honestly don't know what else to call it).
Thank yall so much for all of the advice!! Def going to try all of it! :)

I had the same problem as you. Tons of acne and the brown scars it left behind, and this was a recurring DAILY thing. When the pimples would be gone, it would turn to brown spots -- at the same time more MULTIPLE pimples would errupt. I hated it! I covered it with liquid foundation, concealer, and powder (just like you)... I tried multiple ACNE skin care soaps, toners, etc.
Then I told myself, I need to give my face a break. I stopped using the all those harsh skin care stuff, and switched to CeraVe (found in Drugstores!). My face wash, my moisturizers -- all CeraVe. I kid you not... I saw my pimples stopped errupting all over my face!
Next, I switched my make up so my face could breathe as well. I started using Meow Cosmetics (mineral foundation). I really wanted coverage, so I got their Feirce Feline foundation (the heaviest coverage). That covered the same as my liquid foundation, concealer, and powder! But at the same time my skin wasn't suffercating (sp??).
On top of that, I did a Mint Julep mask 2x a week, and a scrub 2x a week. <<<Doing this helped fade my brown spots, and it faded quick! I was very depressed because I heard scars can take years to go away, but my spots literally lightened up in weeks, and was gone in months.
Since none of these have acne fighting stuff, I did however used prescription creams that my doctor recommended, i.e. Duac (Benzo Peroxide) and Differin.
After doing that for a few months, my skin got so much clearer. My skin stopped breaking out. My face gotten smoother (I had horrible bumps on my forehead, my chin, sometimes my cheek). My scars/brown spots went away -- I felt ok walking out of the house with nothing on versus having to conceal them before taking that first step out of the house.
Anyway, sorry for the novel, but I know how you feel -- I've been there. I was super depressed and just tired and really down. But hopefully you can pick up some pointers -- change your routine a little bit, and you'd get the same outcome too.

I am the same with you! I have acne marks too. Ugh, but not only do I have acne marks, but I have pot holes or craters (lol, I don't know what they're really called but that's the best description I can give you and that's what I call them) on my face from old acne and that's worse than scars! I would rather have just scars because you can cover it up.
First of all, don't let your acne scars bring you down! It's not worth it. Be confident about who you are and it'll show! With or without make-up!
You should probably look into at-home-peels or have a few microdermabrasion sessions or peel sessions. There are a few brands out there that are acne washes that also help reduce the look of the scars. Exfoliating is good too!
By the way, yours scars won't last forever! As long as you take care of them they will go away.
I had extremely horrible acne and tons and tons of scars. But with continue washing they eventually went away. My acne was so extreme that I now have pot holes/craters like I mentioned earlier! So don't feel bad (:
Also, if you still have a lot of acne out breaks right now, I would recommend not using any make-up for awhile!
And don't forget sunscreen to help not worsen the scars! You could also use a tinted moisturizer or tinted sunscreen to help maybe cover your face a little instead of make-up.
Oh, if you don't have acne right now, consider using a color correcting primer or concealer to help with the coloring. You could also use an eye primer on top of your regular primer (if you use one - if not then your foundation) to help set the foundation/concealer.

i have the same problem, i can't even take proper pics cause I feel like that's all people will see. It is tough but there's not much to do unless you have $$ and wana spend it on laser.
All I know is just moisturize a lot and use a non-abrasive scrub once or twice a week if you like, or you can try getting a sample of Lush's Angel's on Bare Skin. Try it out first. Also a serum may ease it a little.
As for tanning wear sunscreen if you're thinking of it. I feel that I look a lil' better with tanned skin and it covers the scars to an even tone. But that's just my opinion.
