Ok, so i'm 17 and i have recently decided i want to start waxing. My legs and.. well i'm tossing up the idea between a bikini wax or brazillian. I would like some advice on mainy bikini and brazillian. i was thinking about getting a brazillian because it's nearly summer in australia and i think i would feel much cleaner and ofcourse less gross in my bikini. I shave, but i always end up getting ingrown hairs. Also think i would be a bit too self concious to go through with it. I'm really hoping someone can give me a bit of advice, even if it's not much.

OK. If you decide on getting a brazilian or biknini wax you will want to take a advil first it will help with the pain and will lessen the minor swelling you will get. Make sure that you are getting it done by someone who is good at it and make sure that the wax isnt too hot. (you can get burned if to hot) See if you can find a place that does sugaring. Its much nicer on your skin. Shaveing can be a pain so I say GO FOR IT. Hair always grows back.

I was also wondering about the waxing idea... I am terrified but I really want it done. What is sugaring BTW?

Its like waxing but it doesn't need to be at such a high temp. like wax. I've heard of people who got waxed and some of their skin came off or got blister from it burning. keep in mind this happens rarely but usually because it was too hot. I have a post all about sugaring and even a at home recipe to make your own.
Just fyi I do get waxed every now and again so I'm not saying don't do it. I'm just saying be careful. If you've never been waxed before talk to some of the costumers that are there and ask how there experience went and look around forget about price it better to have someone that knows what there doing. Its hot and sticky its not like you can wipe it off if its too hot.
And don't let anyone fool you there will be pain but its fleeting, like a band-aid. Oh and don't forget to breath and like I said in my last comment take a advil first it will help. That goes for sugaring and waxing.

I've never been waxed before but I have heard that some people will use a hard wax on the bikini area because it doesn't stick to the skin like traditional wax does.
