I've been selling it for a couple of year and i've had no problems, it's easy to get started and you'll have someone guiding you the whole way through.
I just needed a job but i was only about 13/14 (i think) so wasnt allowed to do much, my aunt done it so i just asked her if i could do it so that's how i got started but theres been more adverts and everything on tv and there's more incentives to get you to work harder etc.
There are lots of pro's, you get up to 25% commission and your earnings are unlimited so you can earn as much as you want! you're self employed so you can work your own hours so its good in that way. have a look on the website :)
There is only 1 con that i can think of and thats if you don't earn the minimum order level then you don't make any money. I'm in the uk so the minimum is £78 so if i make sales over that i get 20% and if it's over £148 i get 25%, it's easy to make these sales as avon is so popular :)

Matter of fact I have my first appointment with an Avon Agent today! I am very excited about that . I see you are from the UK, that's so cool...my whole family is over there. I somehow end up in TX. I'm an Avon rep and I currently just signed up to be a Mary Kay beauty consultant. I have been selling Avon for a year and seven months, it's very inexpensive to start, and you get the tools you need, and depending where you are, the guidance is great! I'm gonna do both and see how it goes.

im new to the forum, But i am a Mary Kay rep and I love the fact that it is a business you run yourself Ofcourse there are many sources if you need help and education but the benefits of 50% of everything you sell instantly! you are provided with all you need to have your Mary Kay partys. There is no minimun/maximum sale in order for you to make your percentage. And for the month of October you can become a rep for $75. gotta love that!!
