I love everything about NARS, their packaging, the products themselves... everything. Yes, they are more pricey... but is it worth the extra money? Yes most definitely the quality of a NARS eyeshadow to a MAC one is way better! Everything from NARS is super pigmented and amazing! I hardly shop at MAC anymore, it's all NARS!

For brushes I'd go with Mac -- shadows too (aquadasic for the summer!)
I use Nars' blush and bronzer and I love it; also have a quad from Nars and it's probably my favorite shadow combination but I'm pretty sure I can get the same combo from Mac

Hands down Nars! I think their color pay off is way better than Mac. The only thing I don't like about Nars is the price. I love the blushes, bronzers, and eyeshadows.

I really love them both. MAC obviously has a lot more to offer, but I find the over all quality of NARS to be better (the products and the packaging). The plus with MAC is that it is less expensive, but I have a huge weakness for NARS, so I guess NARS lol.

I love both companies for different reasons. Both were started by Makeup artist.
Mac was the first of its kind. Luv their lipglasses to this day. However I have found that each month they come out with a new campain that has dupps of something they has had out a while ago.
Nars- I love their blushes and foundations. I have a medium complexion w yellow undertones. I perfer their foundaions because it doesnt oxides like Mac. Orgasm is a cult favorite.. I am not a fan of their eyeshadow which are soo flacky. The colors are great but the fall out is crazy it kinda reminds me of the Naked paletts.

My local MAC store has by far some of the rudest sales associates in there. I love MAC lipsticks but I generally end up walking out after 10 minutes of trying to flag down one of their artists.
I've found NARS has better quality products and I don't mind giving my Sephora people any commission off of the sale. My only downfall is that it's a little expensive.

I'd have to say NARS, hands down, but only based on their blushes/bronzers because I don't any eyeshadows/foundations from either brand. The pigment and staying power is phenomenal - you get what you pay for.

I definitely love both brands, but I have to say MAC is more of a favorite only because it's at a more affordable price point for me (I'm entering college in the fall and I only work a part time job). I love NARS's blushes, lipglosses and lipsticks, and I adore MAC's lipglasses, lipsticks and eyeshadows. Though with both brands, I've noticed some inconsistencies with quality, such as NARS's Soft Touch Pencils and MAC's eyeshadow quads and LE colors. They both have downfalls, but as long as you do some swatching at a counter or research, I definitely recommend MAC

Mac has more variety and is cheaper. I can't compare the product quality though, I've never bought nars for those reasons.

Nars is pricey but I love the products. MAC I only use for the pressed powder cause the eyeliners are just not for me. Had too many problems with their liners.

I love almost everything of nars but their eyeshadows. They cost a way too much. I purchased 10 of the singles ($25Each) 5 lighter and 5 darker, I find they lack any medium shades especially in a matte finish theirs yamal and blondie which I find pretty much the same. I don't want to repeat what many critics refer to as their shadows being "chalky" but the lighter shades are not even worth buying because they don't show up unless you use a good primer and build it on. I believe the darker shades almost look the same being super darken. I'm not a fan of their cream shadows ether. I love the multiples, and blushes. And of course the brushes esp the Ita 21 which is an amazing brush invention!
