haha yes! i tried curling it with a sock-i saw it on youtube-and it ended up terrible.

Oh okay! Well how I like to do is put the top half of my hair in a clip and split the bottom half into two sections. I take my curling iron and wrap small sections around the barrel (i like wrapping it around and pretending like the clamp doesnt even exist). You can either do them all facing away from your face or you can alternate doing one towards your face, the next one away from your face, so on (i prefer doing it the 2nd way). Let down the next section and do the same thing. :) Make sure the pieces of hair that frame your face are curled AWAY from your face. Those are just a few tips. :)

Yeah, there are lots of different sizes you can get. You can get some with clamps, some without clamps. The Conair Infiniti Clipless Curling Wand is great! It gives really nice natural looking curls. My hair curls really easily and the curls last for a couple of days usually, but I've heard this curling wand is great for people with hard to curl hair. The curling iron that I use the most is 1-1/4''. But it really depends on what type of curls that you want. If you want tighter curls you're gonna want to go with a skinnier curling iron, if you want bigger looser curls go with a fatter curling iron. :)

SO helpful! my friend mia curled my hair not too long ago, and the curls stayed for about 3 days! (she used a LOT of hairspray) do u have to use hairspray so the curls will hold? cause i hate how my hair feels when i use it :P

Well, it helps so the curls don't fall. You don't have to use it, but your curls will probably fall a lot faster. Just lightly spray a little bit on your hair and it wont feel hard or crunchy! Don't go overboard with it or it WILL end up really hard which is probably what she did (sorry, don't mean that in a rude way). :)

haha it wasn't rude! do u recommend any hairsprays? ik mia used 12 hour hold and ANOTHER hairspray. i had to wash my hair out for an hour :/

I really like the Pantene Classic Hairspray (it's in a white bottle). Some of their other hairsprays are horrible, but I like the Classic one a lot! I can use a pretty good amount of it without my hair feeling hard or crunchy and best part is that it's very inexpensive! :) I've heard a lot of good things about the Aussie hairsprays, the Tresemme ones, and a ton of people are head over heels with the L'Oreal Elnette hairspray. I've never tried them so I don't know if they are for sure good, but soo many people rave about them so I'm sure they are! :)

Here are my favorite tips for the most volumous curly hair possible:

1.) MOST IMPORTANT: alternate the direction in which you curl your hair! That's so your curls don't all lump into one giant curl! If you start curling outward, the next curl besides it should be curled inward, vice/versa
2.) bangs and hair that frame your face: curl the iron away from your face! I see this mistake often, and when curled towards your face, it looks terrible! [the only exception is if you have cut bangs and you want volume in them.]
3.) do it in sections, clip up half of your hair to do the bottom and top.
4.) clip your curls up to the base of your neck so they can cool in that shape. It'll help hold your curls in longer, and by the time you finish one section, one won't be bouncier than the other.

I'm a fan of BIGSEXY hairsprays - they def. work well. Hope that helps!

With a flat iron. Separate hair down the middle. Spray some heat protectant on each section. Take about one inch of hair , and out the flat iron on the top of the strand and curl away from the face. Then when you get to the bottom curl all the way back up and hold for about five seconds and repeat!
