Hi. so it's beginning to get hot outside so my face gets really oily and gross around like noon. I only wear powder and eye make up. it's l'oreal powder. I moisturize my face every night with aveno. I drink water, some soda. any suggestions for make up or skin care?

Use a toner after you've washed your face but before you moisturize. Also keep blotting sheet with you so you can get rid of any excess oil throughout the day.
You might want to use a stronger cleanser that will dry your skin out a little bit more, or find a different powder that will absorb the oils better.

Try opting out for a blot powder or an oil controlling powder. Mac blot powder is great or Rimmel matte powder. I would then set it with a setting spray. The urban decay deslick setting spray is made for oil control as well. And there's also a product called smashbox anti shine. This works wonders on my oily skinned clients. You basically put it on before foundation or your powder in your case and use it on your oily area. A little goes a long way. Don't use too much or it will show up like white residue on your face. I really recommend this product and the deslick setting spray. Both of my favourites.
