Welcome to Youtube! I'd say the most important thing is quality. Invest in a good camera and lighting for your videos, and things will take care of themselves. Mine aren't the best, but I'm trying! Also, LISTEN to your viewers and give them what they want. If they request a video, do it! It will make them (and you) happy. I also use pretty much every social media site you can think of to promote my videos: Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, etc. I really take the time to try and make eye-catching thumbnails for my videos to attract people and gain their attention. Collaboration with other gurus is great as well! There is a really nice "marketing" video that RachhLoves did on her channel about this. I'll link it below for you!
