Do some research on different styles of makeup from different eras (30s-90s considering those are the most popular with vintage collectors) Having those in mine will help you with how to approach each model and if you will stick with oldschool themes or mix it with some modern themes. Have fun with it. Makeupmag.com has books from different eras in their store. you don't necessarily have to buy it from them, you could try Amazon or local bookstores/ libraries. Hope that helps.

Be confident in your work if you're not confident it will show in your work. I learned that the hard way and found out I'm actually good at what I do I just had to be confident. Be prepared for anything. Find out what skintones you'll be working with if possible. And make sure you NETWORK.
