Eyeliner in my water line?

Everytime I put eyeliner in my waterline my eyes start to slightly irritate and water. Due to my watering eye all of my eyeliner smears across my eyes. Anyways to change this? Something I'm doing wrong?

Try a different brand; Almay and The Body Shpp has eyeliners that are very gentle on your eyes. Also try setting it with a matching eyeshadow.
