I'm looking for a good matte bronzer to use primarily for contouring. I've tried NYC Sunny Bronzer, but didn't like how much I had to build it up in order to get the color payoff I wanted. Any suggestions?
Benefit Hoola is pretty good, IMO. Bourjois has a couple of matte bronzers (they're both available through ASOS). I think Too Faced Chocolate bronzer is matte as well.
Another thing you can try is to use a pressed powder that's a couple of shades darker than your skintone. And, really, I'd prefer doing that for contouring than using a bronzer, personally. It'll look more natural.

I personally like Too Faced's bronzer although it's a bit on the lighter side. It is matte though.

NARS Laguna is my holy grail bronzer. It looks like it has a slight shimmer in the pan, but applies totally matte. I LOVE it.

Makeup Forever makes a Matte bronzer. Also you can use a darker face powder for the same effect.
