I have tried everything for my extreme dry skin from body butter to baby oil and I cannot find anything that my skin doesn't just soak up like I never put anything on it. Any advice?
Do you exfoliate? Using a gentle exfoliant is super important for dry skin because it gets rid of the flakes (sometimes the dry skin can be caused by lack of exfoliation as well). :)
rub vasoline in your skin like lotion before bed at night
i love soap and glorys exfoliators!! and also cetaphil is a heavy lotion that wont clog pores and is great for dry sensitive skin. you dont want to add too much oil either and end up getting combination skin. but if its on your face i would suggest going to a dermatologist bc they can give you cream for that.
I use exfoliating body wash but I also live in a very dry climate which doesnt help at all but the Vaseline suggestion I will definately have to try thank you Amanda

@ megan your welcome I am glad to help. Not that you need it or worried about it right now but it also cuts your chances for wrinkles later on in life

Use Aquaphor before bed, since it's a thick moisturizer and Palmer's Shea Butter Formula during the day. Good luck :)
Thank you Victoria
you're welcome :)
Aquaphor like the ladies said!
1) I would get an exfoliator made for normal to dry skin, this will definitely help!
2) Use a light moisturizer in the morning and a heavy (!) one at night. Your face will soak the product in best at night.
3) Wash your face once every morning and night, but no more! Over washing your face will make the situation worse.
4) Get a good toner. Using a toner after cleansing your skin will hydrate & prepare your skin for moisturizer.
I would highly recommend Bioelement's Great Skin in a Box: Dry to Very Dry Skin. It's a little pricey, but the products are all so luxurious and they work soo well! I have both the combination/normal one and the dry skin one. I use the dry skin one at night because it's a bit too moisturizing for me during the day and I like my skin to soak up all of the product at night.
I hope I helped!
definitely exfoliate to get all that gunk and dead skin off. Use plenty of sunscreen and moisturise a lot. Occasionally do a yogurt/honey or an avocado mask, and drink loads of water.
Olive oil (or any other essential oil) also works wonders and smells yummy!
