I have had black hair my entire life, dying it a few times here and there, but nothing too drastic. I had a little bit of money for a while and when I did, I put ash blonde highlights in. Now, I'm no expert on hair, but I was told that I have red undertones by my hair dresser. Each time I dyed my hair ash blonde, it went from a warm brown to almost red between each dye. At this time, I have completely black hair again, and I want to try something new. Can anyone with black hair give me an idea of what color to dye it and maybe an at-home coloring system that worked for you? I'm just looking for a bit of change!
My natural hair color is dark brown but after so many bleaching of my whole head, my natural hair color becomes black. I'm not a professional but I think I know everything I need to know to dye my own hair. Brown is the easiest to get from natural black hair! And if you don't want crazy colors, you can also try dark bluish purple! Or even red? (http://YouTube.com/MichelleAXOXO) I used to have red haha. I use manic panic hair dyes. It fades fast but my red lasted me for a month! Cuz I have to go back to school so I have to dye it back dark color that's why it didn't last me more than a month :(
Black with red or pinkish colors is always good! Make sure to use a proper color protect shampoo and conditioner etc. My black and red always used to fade SO QUICKLY until I started using l'oreal shampoo (with the treatment as a conditioner) and it now lasts for months and months :)
It depends on where on the color wheel your trying to go? Have you considered getting a simi permanent color aka a rinse you could do that and not be stock with a color you don't like and it's less harsh on your hair cuz if you color to much you do some serious damage. But go with a rinse. Sally's have some and you cans mix them to make your own color and have fun with them. Good luck hun

Hey all! I have a question!

Now, I'm no expert on hair, but I was told that I have red undertones by my hair dresser. Each time I dyed my hair ash blonde, it went from a warm brown to almost red between each dye.
