What do you guys think of L.A. Colors cosmetics? Anything outstanding? I'm always looking to expand my collection, especially with more affordable options.
In my opinion, there are better options available for a decent price.
If you're looking for eyeshadow you could try a 120 palette from Ebay, you get 120 eyeshadows ranging from neutral to bright, shimmery, matte, and the like. It's great if you're just looking to expand your collection.
I would love those- but I have the Sephora Studio Blockbuster from xmas 2011 with 96 eye shadows similar to the b and h and costal scents palettes. Just wondering if Prestige, L.A. Colors and the like are worth getting.
i love the l.a. colors when you first buy them but after awhile the shadows really fade and lose shimmer which makes me sad but the bronzer is super amazing and the lose glitter power. so i use vasiline to make them pop and stay. but i think their prob better options out there as for shadow. love thier nail polish too
Their lipsticks are pretty good...super moisturizing and not dry. I think they are better than Wet N Wild and NYX because those formulas are very dry and they seem to crack unless you wear chapstick. I actually got a couple L.A. lipsticks today...let me know if you want swatches. They are only $1.
I've just recently tried a few products by this brand;
Loose glitter:
I have the white. I like it to add a little bit of shimmer to the inner corner of my eye, and even as a highlight on top of my cheekbones. I really like the effect it gives overall, although, I will say the design of the container is a bit odd.
Lipstick:
I found the perfect vibrant purple color I've been looking for, and not only is it super moisturizing but it also had very surprising staying power.
Jumbo eye pencil:
I have the white one, and used as a base for eyeshadow. It did a decent job at making the pigments stay in place for an extended time, although the smell of this scares me. It just seems like chemicals or something. Also, it's pretty messy it doesn't glide on too smoothly. The consistency is almost like a pastel.
I hope this was helpful! I second some of the other girls in saying e.l.f and coastal scents make some great products for super affordable prices!
Thank you. I love my elf shimmering facial whips and warm 32 eye shadow palette, as well as one of their cheapie bronzing brushes, among other things. I have had plenty of misses, though. I want more stuff, of course! I have my eye on their five for five bucks set of lip glosses ( a buck per gloss) at Walgreens but will hold off for now because I have a lot of new lip products I need to delve in to. Apparently they keep them on shelves until they sell out, and my local Walgreens looks pretty stocked. I have been wanting those big e/s palettes for years but I got a HUGE blockbuster set from Sephora with all the same matte, shimmer, colorful and nude/natural shades and I suspect they all get their shadows from the same wholesale/ bulk sources, so I can't imagine my Sephora ones could be any different. Does that stop me from wanting them? Hell no! Plus B and H pop ups keep telling me they are having major sales! Also, Stila is discontinuing/ getting rid of some products and they are slashing/reducing smudgepots/etc. Try something from Stila, for cheap! I'm pretty happy with my lip glazes I got at Sephora from their value bins for 12 bucks, me thinks. Thanks for the input! I assumed L.A. Colors would have some/mostly crappy stuff. <3
All the L.A Colors shadows I've tried are nice. The single shadows are pretty large and they're CHEAP (Dollar Tree has them). Also, I like them because they're completely matte and they're pigmented enough for me. I wouldn't get the foundation. Lip products seem okay.
I love L.A colors products because they are cheap and the pencil eyeliner is bendable I learn this when I ran out of charcoal during and art project and I used the pencil and it blended in so well and the sparkly nail polish I used in this painting and it give it such an amazing look to it.

I would avoid anything from LA Colors except their nail polish. My go to white is from them and it's pretty phenominal

I love their eye-shadows they are so pigmented. My favorite from them so far is the Darling pallet.
