Every time I start to apply any time of face makeup my skin seems to start peeling. Do I need to exfoliate more, use more lotion, or what? I never had this issue till the past year or so. Help!

I have this exact same problem! Whatever you do, do not exfoliate more. Exfoliating your skin more will simply make your skin more dry and more likely to peel. If your skin is dry, especially on the nose area, it's best to use only gentle exfoliants every other day.
What you really want to do is moisturize. Apply a moisturizer twice a day, once in the morning and once before bed. If your skin continues to peel, you can use a deeper moisturizer at night so it can really soak into your skin and you can also use moisturizing makeup.
I hope that helps :)
