Nothing really at home, but I work at a drugstore, and sometimes nail polishes are DESTROYED in the totes by the time they get to my store. Or we had a huge cardboard Revlon display that people kept accidentally knocking over, it was like watching at least 40 little bottles of nail polish fall and shatter in slow motion. They still haven't been able to clean it all out of the carpet yet xD
When I was little like 11 or so I would carry all my nail polish around with me, and I had some in my mini backpack purse, and fumes were all over the bus I opened my purse to find to my surprise almost atleast 5 or more nail polishes broke.
i have a few splatters on the wall from flinging/dropping the brush. nothing gives me that feeling of my heart falling out of my butt like grabbing the top of the bottle, not realizing i didn't close it, & scrambling to catch it. knock on wood, but i've never had a causality. (i'll probably update this tomorrow since i know i just jinxed myself!)
I once spilled nail polish on my carpet.. I threw that carpet away:) I also dropped some nail polish on my bed, because it is my favorite place to do my nails:D lol
Once when I was about five, there was an open bottle of nail polish on the table. I was running around the room, and I ran into the table, and the nail polish spilled on the table. I didn't notice until a few minutes later when my brother pointed it out. By the time we cleaned it up all the wood varnish was destroyed, and I felt so bad.
When i was About, 8 or 9, i was painting my moms nails, and i acciendently, dropped a pink nail polish and it poured ALL over my few month old chiuhauha, who is pracitcally BLONDE and it took FOR EVER to come out :P But we still have her and she's perfectly fine now xD
My 2 year old daughter some how managed to open one of my nail polish's a few weeks ago and had it on her nails, her whole body, face, carpet, table and walls! Lol
this wasn't recent, but when i was very little, i got a hold of nail polish and thought it't be cute if i painted my lips with nail polish and then kissed my white lamp with my kisses. my lips burned so bad from the nail polish!! (NEVER TRY THIS) haha, i also decided that my bed furniture was very ugly because all of the flowers on it were white, so i decided to paint those pink and purple.. i still have that bed to this day, and no my parents were not happy about the little nail polish mishaps. (:
Once, I was about 10 years old and I decided to paint my toe nails. My mom told me to go outside or put newspaper in the bathroom, I only heard "In the bathroom" so I went in an started painting my toe nails while sitting on top of the toilet and Dropped it. It was a BRIGHT PURPLE China Glaze Color and it spattered ALL over the bathroom. No even to mention that we were renting the house :( My mom was sooo angry at me!
It was World War III. I was doing my nails with a certain blue for the first time and I had thought they had dried becuase when I checked they felt dry. Next morning I woke to find my white blanket with blue spots. That polish has never been used since. The polish was really watery though and wasn't going on well at first...
About two years ago I had received a big hope chest from my grandparents that was just plain wood. A month after Christmas I decided it was boring and needed some color. I was too lazy to go upstairs and look for paint do I decided to use my nail polish. So there I was in my room. No windows open, my door shut tight and me with about six different bottles of nail polish lying open. I was painting for about two hour before my dad came down to bring me up for supper. He walked in and the toxic smell hit him like a brick wall. Apparently he asked me a few questions but I couldn't stop laughing. I learned to always have some sort of ventilation in the room I'm painting my nails in. (:
