My skin is soo oily, I don't drink soda. Eat and use all organic and natural things. To moisturize my facial skin, I use A moisturizer called Dip - My Aunt runs the business that made the moisturizer. I know it's all natural and I've seen her make the products, What else can I do? Here's the site http://sisterskeeper.biz/ You'd have to search for 'Dip' if you'd like to read the ingredients :) Please help.
Fashion fair skin care for oily skin..it's for blemish & Acne prone it's a great line for women of color I manage the line..get the foam wash, toner and moisturizer
well, some times its just in your geans hune, im sorry and you might need to see a dermetologist. But if you dont wanna go that step yet try drinking more watter, and maybe switching to a diferent brand of cleanser and moisturiser. I know you wnana go with what your familly made, but it might just not be for you. Try MARK they have a nice selection of sleansers and moistuisers, A bit on the pricey side but not too bad. Or maybe try AVON, or NEUTROGINA. they both have a great selection and variety of acne help cleansers and treatments and moisturisers. plus they both arnt too expensive :)
By the way I don't use ANY moisturizer, makeup, or sunscreen that doesn't clearly say "oil free" it can be challenging. Look at it this way: just like someone with really dry skin WANTS the oil in product, oily gals like us DON'T want it :) also, my mother says she used to hate her oily skin but now that she's older she has perfect balanced skin that is never dehydrated :)

It is pricey but lasts a long time and I use it instead of powder which just made my face feel more gross
Haha I just posted this on a different conversation but I seriously love this stuff. I bought a benzoyl peroxide gel from target (its a target brand product) for like $4 and it works AMAZINGLY as a spot treatment and I also apply a thin layer of this to my T-zone every night and it has cleared up my acne SO much! Especially if I have a spot or pimple, I just put that on it before I moisturize (and after if its really gnarly haha) and by morning it has dried up any sort of whitehead or pimple on my face! Of course, no product will make that pimple just disappear, but the benzoyl peroxide gel speeds along that process so much!!! I hope this helps :D

Hi Camryn,
I'm a Esthetician. Soap is a big no no-major culprit, it clogs pores and also contributes to even oilier skin. I took a look at the "Dip Ingredients: distilled water infused with burdock root & nettle leaf, slippery elm, hemp seed butter, babassu oil, aloe vera oil, panthenol, natural emulsifier, natural thickener, optiphen and fragrance as an option.
butters, oil's, natural emulsifier, thickeners are catastrophic for acne prone skin. Natural is not always better for acne prone skin.
I suggest the Clarisonic Mia (deep cleans, lightly exfoliates dead skin cells, Try a facial cleanser Murad Time Release Acne Cleanser (for adult acne), Murad line and pore minimizer hydrator for evening and Murad matte spf 15 for day (control oils extremely way, moisturizes and protects skin). If you have any questions I'm happy to help and my blog ladyjskincare.blogspot.com has articles on acne, oily skin, hyper pigmentation and products.
i would say check out a dermatoligist they may be able to give you the real reason why you have acne and things you can do to change that. you would be suprised what you would learn from them. seriously it made me stop using gel for my hair it was making me break out on my forehead and giving me dry scalp. i also use non comedegenic products so it wont clog my pores ; )
paulaschoice is a great brand to try out, I have seen a lot of improvement on my skin, but everyone's skin is different, my skin kinda hates AHA products, but they are ideal for breakouts, if you have a very oily try using something with AHA or salicilic acid(which is the same).
also are you using an exfoliant? it could be that dead skin is causing your acne, but again I am not a dermatologist, just something I found works for me.
though I don't have a lot of probelms with breakouts/
Lots of times even though an ingredient is known to be non-comedogenic (eoes not clog pores) it can STILL irritate your skin and cause breakouts. Ingredients lots of people think are gentle - like coconut oil, shea, etc., can be very irritating for others. I would suggest you use VERY little on your skin other than products with only a FEW - or LESS ingredients. I recommend Grapeseed Oil which is one of the BEST moisturizers for anyone with oily, acne-prone skin. It is SO GENTLE and is absorbed extremely fast... I sell my own organic skin care products, but for my own skin, I use ONLY GRAPESEED oil, because everything else causes issues for me. :-)

Oh and check ingredients in your hair products as well. They could be causing clogged pores as well especially around the hair line.
I tried lemon juice, sugar, and honey as a scrub yesterday morning. Afterwards, I used Black soap as a cleanser and Goat Milk soap because Goat's milk is moisturizing. Afterwards, I sprayed 1/2 Water, 1/2 Glycerin, and half a teaspoon of olive oil to seal in moisture. And my face hasn't gotten as oily yet! My face is softer, less oily and most of the scarring is fading.
