I use a purple shampoo to help keep my colors specially abnormal ones
But anything sulfate free will definitely help as I'm sure you know
So L'Oreal EverCream Cleansing Confitioner ($7) can help hydrate and it's sulfate free and shampoos at the same time
I also personally use Wen's sweet almond mint cleansing conditioner that cleans and conditions at once and it hasn't diminished my color as all and I definitely feel more hydrated and I have african American, native american frizzy curly super dry hair that I have continuously over processed. One of the best things about Wen though is that it's $32 and well worth it and if you don't like it you can get your money back!
I would also recommend from my friend Curler specialist cleansing + conditioner ($22) she loves it
She has wavy dry kinky hair and it has low/mild surfactants
Any who she likes to swim and be in the sun a lot and it helps her
Since everyone else lists such good hair shampoos, I reconmend that when your washing your hair try to wash it in cool water, as cool as you can stand, because hot and warm water are said to be worse for dyed hair. Meaning: it washes out the color.
I use all Alterna. I do my homework too ... I'm licensed and I think it should be part of my job discription to research ingredients so my clients dont have to. Alterna has a UV Bamboo line that you would love.

I dye my hair to cover up these really bad high lights I got. I have super dry hair and I am currently using Suave's Keratin Infusion, (the one for color treated hair) and I'm not really loving it. Is there anything I should try?
(Nothing TOO exepencive)
thanks (:
There's this conditioner that I LOVE by Baine de Terre. It's their Coconut Moringa Conditioner and it's probably the most silkening conditioner I've ever used. You can slip your fingers through your wet hair tangles like it's butter and it leaves this really faint coconut scent when it's dry. I like to leave mine in for an extra ten minutes or so as a quick in-the-shower hair mask. Hope this works for you~ =)
Try Kevin Murphy! My hair loves the angel.rinse conditioner. It might be too expensive... but its REALLY good! Sometimes i mix the conditioner with honey and argan oil and use it as a hair mask. Also try to avoid washing your hair with shampoo too often, sulfates and silicone suck out moisture from your hair and strip it from natural oils.
What you need is sulfate free shampoos! Those won't dry out your hair and make it really strong and healthy. I'm using Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan oil shampoo and conditioner. The argan oil really does the trick :D Each bottle is kinda pricey and I've only seen them online at a site called "beyas". But trust me, it's totally worth it. They make hair really soft and shiny and it's the best for color protection too :)
I've purchased really expensive ones from sephora, bumble and bumble from my hair salon, and the list goes on, but when I got tired to use expensive products that didn't do much I went to target and spotted this coconut conditioner, they sell them in small pouches that are $1.75 or this bottle that is less than $5. LOVE IT!!! Spend the $1.75 for 1 pouch, see if u like it, if u don't, you would be glad u didn't spend more than 2 bucks for it, if you do you will be really happy to spend the $4 bucks for a full bottle ;)
If u have dry hair and it's the issue than better use stuff for dry hairs. U have to color ur hairs every month anyway so shampoo for coloured hairs won't really help. I had the same issue like urs. From luxury line Kerastase is the best. L'ocitanne as well. If u want something cheaper than try Phyto or Matrix. Actually if u still want something for coloured hairs for shine than Phyto is the best. But if ur main concern is dry hairs than use for dry (Moroccan oil for example)
I have bleach blond hair and I used to use Tresseme and Loreal and spend a fortune on keratin. Iv started using Herbal Easences Ignite My Colour and for the first time ever my blond hair has a shine and feels incredible
I too use purple shampoo. I use joico and stock up when it's buy 2 get one free... That brings high end salon shampoo down to $10 a bottle. And if you have a coupon for Ulta, it's even less!
