I know there are a few skin-care tricks involving sea-salt, but I was wondering if someone could help me out? I have oily, acne-prone skin with acne scarring on my cheeks. My skin's clearing tremendously(sp?) but I'd like to keep up with the treatments to help prevent further breakouts and also to switch up my routine a bit.
So, any tips?

I dont have any treatments with Sea Salt, but i like to use Aloe Vera juice on the affected areas especially scars from Acne, jus helps with the healing process. Also blend up one cucumber until its like a paste. Apply on effected areas and leave for 15 mins. Its so refreshing. I have really oily skin also and i find this helps a bit :)

Sea salt will aggrevate acne prone skin. I like Murad exfoliating acne treatment, aloe vera, dermalogica daily microfoliant, turmeric and my clairisonic mia.
LUSH has a product (i personally haven't tried it, but gurus are in love with it.) it's called ocean salt. it apparently works amazing for oily, acne prone skin.
i agree with Jeana O. dont use sea salt. Drink watter lots of watter. You may wanna try Either Avon or Mark they have some stuff you might like. and they are at nice price ranges
Last year I used sea salt diluted in water as a spot treatment for random pimples. But I always had to moisturize later on because while it dried out the pimple, it dried out surrounding skin too. Now I use pure tea tree oil as a spot treatment although it smells very strong, it doesn't dry my skin out as much and it diminishes the pimple from a bump to a light, leveled scar with repeated, nightly spot treatment over the course of two days.
As for treating acne scars I just exfoliate with a an exfoliating cleanser or a cotton washcloth in warm water, then rinse with cold water to close my pores. I used to have turmeric soap, and I think it did a great job clarifying my skin, though maybe sometimes too well (it felt a little tightened) so I followed cleansing with moisturizer.
You should look into using an AHA as an exfoliant, that way you aren't scrubbing at your skin but gently exfoliating with a liquid (or lotion or gel). Over time it will improve the appearance of scars.
