I've been wanted to buy something from MAC for a while but don't know which item to get,what's you favourite MAC product? That would be really helpful,thanks! xx
Really depends what you're looking for. I would skip the foundations, mascaras, glosses and eyeliners as you can find better/more affordable ones elsewhere. The eyeshadows are nice but a little too hyped up as some of them don't perform as well as you'd expect. Their blush range is fabulous, as well as the lipsticks. That's what I mostly go to MAC for.
Currently, I have only two things that MAC is my go to for and that is the Mineral Skin Finish which is a great setting powder and their lipsticks! Shy Girl has to be my absolute favorite.
Pro longwear Lip pencils - really long lasting pigment, great colour range and good value for money considering how long they stay put on your lips (no need to keep re-applying and using up product)
Their Pearlglide liners are really nice.
I love their lipglasses. I have way too many, but most (practically all) are LE.
Their blot powder is nice and has lasted me about nine months.
Their lustre formula lipstick is a favorite of mine, but I like the glossy look.
Mac gets a bad rep (rightfully so) for their often crappy LE eyeshadows, etc. Their permanent eyeshadow range is good, but there are better brands. Definitely read reviews and swatch first. If you like making your own palettes, go online and buy the pan.
I like the pro longwear shadows / lipsticks and sheen supreme lipsticks are nice too.
I have a lot of high-end and mid-range brushes, but the 239 and 217 are still favorites of mine that I often grab.
I haven't purchased a Mac blush. Most reviews I read state they fade after four hours, which is a shame because the range appears nice.
Having said that, Mac's steady price increases are a turn off. If they keep going at this pace and don't work on consistent quality, the brand will not be worth the asking price.
The 217 brush is really amazing and definitely worth the investment. It makes blending, crease, and outer V work super easy. MAC also make great lipsticks--my favourites are Lady Danger (matte) and Girl About Town (amplified creme).
