Just eat healthy and eat until you are full don't under eat. Since you are 11, you most likely have more growing to do and you don't want to deprive your body of the nutrients it needs to grow. So remember eat healthy and be active! :)

i would say with your age everything will adjust its self later. I dont know what is your typical drink of choice but instead of coke, pepsi, sprite, ect. drink water. Always drink water. It makes your whole body work better and get plenty of sleep. Dont worry to much about it right now or put too much pressure on yourself. You are a pretty girl never let anyone make you feel less then perfect

honestly since your still fairly young, i wouldn't even worry about how much you weigh. just eat healthy, be active, drink plenty of water, get lots of sleep, and try not to deprive your body of what it needs to grow, you still have a long way to go. and if you keep on doing these things you wont have to worry about losing weight, but just to maintain what you feel is a healthy weight for your age and height. :)

Just dont stress, everything will be super awkard for the next few years, but freaking out never helps! Just keep healthy, well hydrated, and relax. Try drinking coconut water or aloevera juice ( both are sold in ethnic sections of major grociery stores), they taste great and are wonderful for staying fit and hydrated

11 years old is kinda young for "diet", why can't you just enjoy being a kid for now? stay active by playing sports rather then being a couch potato over the summer. Stay away from fast food (like McDonalds) and stay away from sweets (such as ice cream). Most importantly, drink lots of water everyday, get 8 hours of sleep every night & eat lots of vegetables.

Laughing a lot will give you abs and having a good time actually burns a lot of calories. You're way too young and beautiful to be obsessed with things like weight loss. Enjoy being young, don't worry so much!

Eat veggies! Vegetables are very filling, super good for you, and don't have a lot of fats or sugars or carbs. In general, it's best to have them fresh (as opposed to frozen) and as plain as you can manage, so they're not drenched in butter or dressing or anything. A bit of olive oil makes them nice but keeps them healthy. If you need a snack, carrot sticks, raw broccoli, celery-- they're all good and will help curb your urge to snack.

You want to make sure you continue to eat in a balanced way though, so don't just do all veggies! When you eat in an imbalanced way (often what people consider a "diet") it only makes you want those other things more! The best is to find a way of eating that is healthy that you can sustain. You want to always make sure you have enough protein (meat, fish, rice & beans) carbs (whole grain breads, brown rice, quinoa [pronounced keen-wa]) and good fats (olive oil).

In general, stay away from processed foods like chips, sweets, and pre-packaged meals. Read the ingredients on things. If the list is long, put it back. If the list is short and you can pronounce the words, that will be better for you. Also stay away from foods that contain modified food starch, high fructose corn syrup and monosodium glutimate. Those are usually found in junkie snack foods or highly processed foods (even if they're labeled "healthy", still read the label).

Exercise is important too of course, but the veg is super helpful. Broccoli, kale, zuccini, they're all delicious and so good for you. They're easy to cook too! If you're not sure how, look on a site like epicurious.com for ways to prepare them. Learning how to cook is wonderful. It's really fun and is an important skill to learn. Plus, you can help out your family by helping them cook and make healthier meals.

If you start eating healthy now (NOT a diet) it will help you maintain a good weight for the rest of your life. Don't think of changing how you eat as a "diet", think of it as changing the way you LIVE the rest of your life.

Don't let the magazines fool you...those beautiful women have been airbrushed to appear thinner, and of course the lighting the photographers used in magazines also creates that illusion.

When you are a kid, enjoy your life, and don't worry about the numbers on the scale...they are just numbers, and no one has to no the digits but you. As long as you are healthy and happy thats what matters...Eat breakfast as someone said above, this will keep your brain forcused on classes, and will help you from wanting bad empty calorie snacks. For health, avoid sodas, and drink water. Natural whole juices vs pepsi. Instead of ice cream, enjoy fresh watermelon this summer, and don't deprive yourself of your meals and nutrients. Get plenty of rest, and be active. This will keep you positive, and you'll never have to stress about weight, or acne.

In my opinion I think you're too young to diet and be worried about losing weight. 115 is super skinny anyways. Just saying.

I agree with the school sport or activity. Dance classes are a really fun way to stay fit.

Also, I just want to share a little from my experience when I was your age. When I was 11 I had already developed, was 5"8' and bigger than all of the girls and even most of the guys in my class. It sucked and kids talked bad about me but you know what, they were jealous. Soon enough everyone else caught up and we were all developing at a similar rate. 11 is a hard time in your life. Everything is so intense and adults will tell you you're overreacting. Sometimes we have forgotten how hard it is to deal with this stuff, for the first time, at your age. However, everyone on here is right. Dieting won't benefit you. Your body is changing and it needs nutrients to do that. I agree with avoiding sodas and sugary beverages. If you develop great eating habits now (what you eat, not how much you eat) then you won't have to worry about your weight when you're older.

Start running! Im sure your school has a cross country team and its a great way to lose weight, improve your health, get into amazing shape and lower your stress level. As you run more, you will probably start to crave healthy foods!!

exercise n eat healthy food, but its ok to break the rule to eat ur fav food sometimes, try to avoid sugar and junk food..

No soda, lots of veggies, fruits, nuts, no pork & no portion of red meat larger than the palm of your hand. The more fresh fruit, veggies & water you ingest, the better chances you will continue this way of eating throughout your life without craving fast food & refined sugary things. Best wishes, darling!

Baby girl you are too young to be thinking about dieting!!! 11 years old you are still growing and you will actually do more harm to your body than good. And anyone giving this child dieting advice on how to LOSE weight...shame on you!!!

Hailey L. - how tall are you? Height plays a good deal in determining how much you should weigh. Personally my nemesis is Pepsi. When I cut Pepsi totally out of my life I can drop 60 pounds easily - I've done it in the past - but I'm a Pepsiholic and need my 1 liter of Pepsi (minimum) per day. That alone is 450 calories and if I drink more than one a day (which I'm inclined to do... often) that's anywhere from an extra 900 calories to 1350 calories per day which is almost a 1/2 pound of weight per day. It takes about burning 3500 calories to lose 1 pound.
