Inglot Cosmetics has really good eyeshadows. They are super pigmented, and you get way more for less than you do at MAC. They are also a better quality than bh Cosmetics. As far as using bh Cosmetics, I use them, but to make them pop I either use a base under the shadow thats the same shade, or I'll use NYX's Jumbo eyeshadow Pencil in Black bean as a base, depending on the shade I'm using. I've found that when using bh's eyeshadows, its best to use a white/off white/tan/beige primer underneath the shadows first. Then patting on the color gradually, really helps bring the colors out. Sometimes its good to use MAC Fix + on your brush while applying the eyeshadow. Or you could spray a little Fix + into the eyeshadow itself and then use your finger to apply it. It helps bring out the color and helps the rest of the eyeshadow stick. On darker skin it is harder using bh's eyeshadows, because we need to find a really good base to make the colors appear as vibrant as they do in the palette. Just be careful with certain colors because they can appear very frosty/ashy looking. Remember also that with bh's shadows, the Matte ones are always harder to blend, and that the shimmer ones are easier. But having said that, I would suggest that you switch over to Inglot.

Use an eyeshadow primer, and a white base to give them something to 'stick' to. NYX has the jumbo pencil in Milk which seems to be a favorite, but any white, or light colored creamy pencil will help your colors pop out so so sooo much more!
With blending, always use a clean brush to blend colors together, and to blend them out. And while it sounds counter-intuitive, be careful not to over-blend! This will cause your colors to come together too much, and make them look muddy!
Definitely primers and bases will help your colors pop!!!! NYX's pencil in milk is cheap and amazing for what you're looking for! As soon as I put the primer on I notice a huge difference in the colors, they're much more vivid. Also, I don't know how your makeup budget it- but Makeup Forever has amazing colors. They're about twenty dollars per shadow. So what I do is pick my favorites. I have a purple and an orange right now and they have to be my favorite shadows. Also, as far as primer, E.L.F. Has one that I use that works just as well as Too Faced or Urban Decay. It costs a dollar at Target, can't beat it. Another great solution has already been pointed out, wet your brush. Just a little and those colors will definitely pop.

I really enjoy looking on this site for the creative looks and the bold colors and the wonderful art work thats on here that you lovley people do and I love love love makeup but My issues are not being able to get my colors to pop when I put them on. What brands should I use for the boldness? right now I use BH Cosmetics... And how do I blend my colors? I have a hard time doing the smokey eye with dark colors when I finish it looks like I have a black eye lol...a little help hunn bunns :))

A great blending brush works wonders as well. I suggest MAC #217 and Sigma also has one as well.
