You're blog is nice. The only thing I think you should change is the size of your pictures. Some of them seem too small. Other than that you're on the right track.
Hannah, I am already following you, but I think that it may be hard to find the button to start following you, usually when following someone we look for one thing, especially on blogger, The Google Friend Connect Button, You should try to make it more easily visible!
