My hair is pretty thick, i find by using sections, hair curlers hot enough and loadssssss of hairspray generally it stays. However, as the day progresses it does drop. Oh, and also after curling i use a wide-tooth comb and brush out the curls to make them light and bouncy!:) Hope this helps:)
Hi! I need some help curling my hair. I really love Taylor Swifts curls, but my hair is REALLY THICK. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I seem to be curling it like everyone else, but it doesn't work! HELP!
One word: SECTIONS!
I've tried that! I've tried making 3", 2", 1", and 1/2" sections. They don't work!
Thick hair will have a hard time holding a curl because of the weight of your hair. Have you thought of having your hair thinned out at the salon? A really good stylist can take away some of the weight by using a unique cutting method. When I used to wear my hair straight my stylist would do this for me because my hair would never hold a curl. It would be stick straight by the time I walked out the salon door.lol. It also didn't take away a lot of length either. I wish I could remember the actual technical term for it. :(

I had a stylist thin out my hair, and it worked, but not to the point where I can get the tight curls that I desire.

What size of curlers/wands/straightener are you using? That could be playing a big factor for you now as well since you had your hair thinned
I have extremo! Thick hair and I get it thinned and have to use a really small straightener or wand
