I see all these beautiful picture of girls with gorgeous nails and hands and I get so jealous because my nails and hands in general are soooo damaged! I bite them and peel the skin around them! I dont ever let my nails grow. Idk why but for some odd reason whenever I see my nails long enough to get bitten I chew them off until it's down to the skin. It gets really painful and ugly! It's not health at all!
I've tried to stop biting my nails before but I kinda feel like I'm addicted to chewing on them somehow!
What are some ways you know of that might help me stop this disgusting habit!??!

I chew on mine too and i hate my nails. What i do is try keeping them painted and maybe you should have short nails and file them to a nice shape–i try to at least lol–and paint them. Instead if chewing ill pick off polish which isnt great either but its better than chewing. Or carry a top coat with you so when you want to chew, put some on and you wont because youll know your nails are wet and it also helps if your polish is coming off anyway. Hope i helped

Gahhh I completely understand you Jennie :-/ I don't bite my nails but I do peel the skin around my nails :-/ When I am concentrating or in an exam I always do this, it's become a bit of a nervous habit :S My fingers look horrible, do any advice would be awesome!

You can buy a special nail polish that tastes so bad that you wont ever bite your nails again! You can also spend a few hours on doing a nail design and put really much effort into it :) Then you don't want to ruin the fabulous nail art that you created ;)

I had that habit but I really wanted to grow mine so what I did was whenever I would go to bite my nails I used a cooling down water spray and sprayed my face! I know this sounds crazy but it worked and I didn't bite my nails so I have ling nails now. I feel that having long nails you can do more designs and nail art( if you wanna!)
