use a face primer before applying foundation to pro long the wear of your makeup and to keep it in place, this will also help keep oily/dry skin at bay through out the day (depending which primer you get) and help you apply your foundation a lot smoother and easier. This also applys for eye shadow primer this will help keep your eye makeup in place and stop creasing. As a starting primer (may take a while for you to find the perfect one for your skin) i recommend 'Rimmel london - fix & perfect pro primer' as it isnt too expensive and it Smooths, resurfaces, brightens, mattifies and protects your skin around £6 or £7 in the UK. Not sure if you knew this already but I recently discovered the wonders of applying foundation to your lids as well as under your eyes. Even if you're not wearing shadow it evens out your tone, brightens your face and makes a really nice shadow base too! Another great tip I discovered is using a light coat of primer or mascara on your lashes before you apply your falsies. I find the strips and the glue much easier to remove when I have a barrier between them
