i can't speak from experience because i'm impatiently waiting for my order from 8ty8beauty to arrive in the mail, but from the reviews i read, the new china glaze summer neons are actually pretty great! most people say they're 2-3 coaters & some are thicker so might require a bit of polish thinner, but nothing i'm not willing to work with! try googling a few reviews on them; scrangie & vampyvarnish have reviews with all the polishes from the collection! ^_^

It's super translucent with one coat, I always use like a white polish as a base so the color REALLY pops. This is what it looks like with a white base and two coats :)

Try apply a white base of maybe 2 or 3 coats then applying the neon color but make sure the white is completly dry before appplying the neon color.......All neon colors give the same problem the white definitely makes it a lot brighter
