I use to set my foundation with powder. ELF has an amazon one for $6!! It's so soft an dense!!

Kabuki Brush is great for mineral powders or loose powders bronzers etc...
Bare Escentuals went Kabuki crazy they have a kabuki brush for pretty much everything!!!
but my fav is from Real Techniques

kabuki brushes have a wide versatility...
-You can use it to buff mineral foundatio on the skin.
-Apply any finishing powder.
-Liquid foundation if they are synthetic.
-Bronzer/contour or blush even.
Now the when or how is up to you and what you feel looks good on you, for instance if you applied too much blush you can try to use it to tone it down.
Remember there are a lot of kabuki brushes, rounded, angled or flat and probably even more that that, but how you use a tool, is authentically up to you.
