Hi there , my friend is from Jamaica and she is just starting to get into makeup. She doesn't really know what looks good on her & she doesn't like what she tries , she prefers to know what she's doing. Most of the beauty gurus on YouTube are white , and she finds that the look isn't as nice on her. What do you guys think she should try? $ I apologize if this sounded racist to anyone , I didn't mean for it to be. Thanks !
Kendal I think your friend could try any of these brands IMAN, MAC,MAKEUP FOREVER,SMASHBOX, and FASHION FAIR
as for colors she would look great in warm tones (browns, oranges, reds)

Black opal is also a great product for women of color because she's starting off its cheaper and very long lasting
I don't think it sounds racist at all. I'm on the reverse end of the spectrum, über pale, so I can understand.
I'd tell her to go MAC for foundation. They are really the only brand out there that caters to all skin tones. For everything else, tell her to check out Black Radiance in the drugstore. I've bought a few of their products, and they are quite good.
For advice, warm tones obviously. But also, go bold. I'm so jealous of the fact African american women can wear canary yellow or orange eye shadow and look awesome in it. Tangerine lipstick trend? That's all her!
