I made my own from some internet recipes for Zoya's remove + you only need acetone and glycerin and some distilled water if you want to dillute it some to last longer. My fingers don't feel dry when I use it in fact they kind of feel a bit greasy. It removes polish quick and my nails look happy enough the one day a week they actually see sunlight.

I think powder too by butterLONDON is in your price range. It's more 'good for you'.
Try the Sephora Bain dissolvant sponge container, $9.50

Honestly, if you're truly concerned about treating yourself right, isn't it worth spending the extra money on something good?

I use pure acetone

the onxy stuff from walmart is pure acetone, works great. all nail polish remover is bad for your nails, despite the claims.
"Almost Natural Polish Remover" from No-Miss Nail Care. I got mine for $9 (4oz) at the local vegan store, but on the company's website the 2oz is $4.99 and the 4oz is $7.95. My polish came off easily (you do need to hold the cotton pad for 10-15 seconds before you wipe like you would if you were removing eye makeup) without drying and has a vanilla-ish smell that's definitely different. The ingredients are "Fruit acid solvent (methyl-pentan-2 one, multi-fruit acids). Amber acid (derived from plant linchens); deionized water, vitamin A, natural vanilla fragrance).
The purple Onyx from Walmart has been my HG for years. Between Onyx and felt polish removal is a breeze.
Opi expert touch. It's super gentle but will get off the most stubborn glitter polish.

"The Stripper" (I forget who makes it) is lovely!
The Zoya 3-in-1 polish remover is really great. It doesn't dry your hands out
I go for pure acetone. found at Sally beauty supply for about $4.. One swipe, polish is removed. They have a regular formula and a nourishing formula.
