It could be the camera angles of the photographs but it looks like the side part balances out your face more. Like how the others have said, the middle part does open up your face. I say either way works, just rock it.
Changing your part is actually really good for your hair! I like it parted in the middle, it looks more feminine instead of girly. It'd be cute if you got some layers you could wave around your face too <3
