It starts out dry and sometimes my forehead and nose is flaky. After a while oil starts to build up but it's not enough to notice just by looking. Can it be considered as combo?
If your skin is starting out dry and flaky, it's dry. The oiliness later is because when you don't moisturize enough your oil glands go into overdrive and produce more oil.
Try switching to a non-foaming cleanser, swap physical exfoliation like scrubs for chemical exfoliation like peels, and get a heavy duty night time moisturizer (I like hope in a jar for dry skin). Seriously, pile on the moisturizer. And when you think you've moisturizer enough, add another layer ;-)
