I have loads of dark spots and scaring on my cheeks and I want to try a chemical peel,I watched some videos on YouTube and still do not know what to think?I still have teenage skin but not so much the breakouts since I have been using cetaphil and taking capsules, they make my face look like its full of acne when it would be very clear without them its also a pain to cover up everyday,I drink loads of healthy juices and water and I'm not sure what to think this would be a at home one. I also am using lemon to lighten them but I hear chemical peels work pretty fast.

Yolande, chemical peels can be very effective. Are the dark spots the "remenants" of old acne? I don't recommend Cetaphil to my clients. While dermatologist love it, it may or may not clear up acne, it never actually gets to the root of the problem. I would recommend trying the Clean Start line by Dermalogica before trying Chemical Peels. You can find it at Ulta, it is geared toward teens and acne. As for the dark spots/scarring I love PCA's pigment gel HQ free, you can also spot treat with this. You can find a place by you by going to pcaskin.com.

I'd say if you have little acne, and more scars.. So the peel. I've done peels and I'm 16. Just ask your dermatologist to start off light. Beware that they may cause acne to flame up if you're sensitive. :)
