Don't apply toothpaste. You'll irritate it and dry it out and have a giant dry irritated pimple. Try softly scrubbing the area with baking soda mixed with water, you can apply some sulfur ointment, or tea tree oil. You can also scoop out the insides of a tomato and mix it with honey and apply it to your face. Tomatoes contain salicylic acid. These work great for me I hope they work for you x

@Axita yes it dries out pimples and irritates them. And if you have dry skin it will be very nasty to deal with. The ingredient in it that was the effect is baking soda. It's better to just use baking soda than to mess up skin.

Tea tree oil will stop it in its tracks. Its purpose is to eat away bacteria so it's perfect for shrinking pimples w/o drying out the skin or scarring (which benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid can do due to its harshness).

@Vanessa actually tea tree oil dries out skin which is why it's never recommended to use alone :)

@Vanessa Yes - I had it happen to me, luckily it doesn't dry out excessively but enough for it to show if you do make up!

Try heat! I always get a wash cloth super hot and put it on the spot. Usually helps me.
