Yes, true! working out a routine is so important for the long run. & thanks again, I just checked Now, trying to buy it online :)

@Shelly, I am not worried about growing my hair. More than growing it am trying to make it healthy. & I do know loosing a certain amount of hair is normal (it's said loosing around 100 hairs per day is normal) but I loose more than that. That's what worries me.

@Elizabeth...
<<Avoid products with Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Ammonium Laureth Sulfate, and parabens. These are all really bad for you.>>

Parabens are NOT bad for you. That is a lie that EWG/CFSC scaremongering types like to spread around. They're merely preservative agents, the safest form of cosmetic preservative there is, used in concentrations of less than one percent in cosmetics (they're safe to use in concentrations all the way up to 25%). Some of them are even... wait for it!... naturally derived.

As for SLS and ALS, they're also safe to use. They're surfactants (SLS is found in other non-cosmetic products, too; even Lush uses it in some of their shampoos!). The only thing is they may strip too much of the natural oil from your hair. (Personally, I've used shampoos with and without sulfates and cannot tell a difference.)

@Payel: Your hair, ultimately, will grow at whatever rate it chooses, and it is also normal to lose a certain amount of hair each day. For healthiness, get it trimmed regularly, and continue to lay off heat styling as much as you can.

I don't currently use argan oil but i've heard really good things. I bought a bottle of the pure oil from Now. I just haven't figured out how i'll work it into my routines yet. Glad you've found it useful!

Absolutely! After I use it, my hair is so wonderfully soft I can't stop touching it! My primary concern was dandruff, which has gotten so much better. Actually, I had to have a medical test earlier in the year where they attached wires to my scalp and they wanted me to use a dandruff shampoo twice without conditioning on the morning of. I used Soak and Float only for a few weeks in advance and it conditioned my hair and scalp to the point that the wires didn't always stick! Bad news for the test but... XP

My other advice would be to use a product like neem or argan oil. Be careful if you choose argan oil as not all brands use authentic oil, or even in a high enough percentage to be useful, so check labels and independent reviews. I, personally, use Theraneem conditioner. The gentle version could help you. Another Lush product you may like are the hair moisturizers (I'd guess either Jasmin & Henna Fluff-Eaze or H'suan Wen Hua). I only just tried my sample of the latter today, so I can't be much help there, but if you are going to be at a lush store it couldn't hurt to ask for some samples and see if it helps!

Soak and float shampoo bar from lush is like a little miracle! It smells really bad (but eventually it grew on me) but the scent doesn't linger. Sometimes i don't even use conditioner because this stuff works so well.

Thanks Hannah, do you have oily hair like mine? & the coconut oil was helpful to smooth it out ? will try, not sure if I could keep it without washing though. really? you have the same problem like mine? so what did your doc say? & how long did it take for your hair to get back to normal? :)

U may wanna try a honey mask I do one once a week and it makes my hair super silky and its pretty cheap I mix it with equal part conditioner and add a little castor oil and evoo if ur hair is oily u may want to skip the oil addition

You should check in with your doctor. I have the same exact problem with my hair but it doesn't fall out in clumps like you were saying. My secret tip for hydrated, shiny hair is coconut oil on the length of your hair (not your scalp, unless you're gonna wash it out).

My hair is oily, not exactly wavy but not straight either. Some what in between & fizzy. My hair texture is medium & lacks luster. Not that brittle though(doesn't break much). My hair density is thin (I mean the amount of hair).
I don't blow dry or iron my hair every day, in fact in the last one year I have hardly used any styling tools. My hair is not chemically treated or colored.I am trying to grow my hair long, I have waist length hair & I want to grow it further by another 5 inches (last cut my hair in May).
Once or twice a month I oil my hair, I used to shampoo & condition alternate days. But no matter what shampoo or conditioner I use, my hair still looks dull, unhealthy & fizzy. Also, all of a sudden, from the last 2 months, I am noticing alarming amount of hair fall, like in bunches! even when I comb my hair very gently! (I am perfectly healthy & have a normal diet). I have absolutely no Idea where I am going wrong, my hair looks even more thinner now! :-((
So, beauties, I really want some help here:
1. Please tell me way in which I can make my hair healthy, stop hair fall & grow new hair.
2. Please let me know what shampoo, Conditioner & hair products should I used which will make my hair look healthy, smooth & shiny.
3.I would also like some home made remedies if you know any.
4. Also How can I grow my hair faster ?
Thank you so much for taking the time to help me.
