Covergirl NatureLuxe and Covergirl Clean. NatureLuxe gets rid of redness very well and is best applied with fingers. Clean gives such an airbrushed finish and covers very well, best applied with cosmetic sponge.
Nyx has a shine control primer it's actually really good. You could also get the neutrogena shine control powder. You can put it lighter over all of your make up, that's what I use and I am never oily now.
Definitely try a mattefying primer. Also get some blotting papers. Don't get sucked in by expensive ones. In my experience, the clean & clear ones at the drugstore are the best. You can blot the oil off your face without taking off your makeup. Great for midday touch ups.
I totally forgot about the blotting papers. I have tried so many different expensive makeup and it normally doesn't work. I heard if you out corn starch in your powder makeup it stops it from being oily. But I have never tried that.
The new Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme foundation is really great with oil control, as long as you set it with a powder. I used to blot 2-3 times a day and I don't have to blot at all now. I just posted a review on it on my blog if you'd like to check it out: http://makeupbykailanmarie.blogspot...
I also was a mac fan for yearssss but I decided to venture out so I purchased make up for ever HD and I couldn't believe my eyes how light n airy it felt . Am combination skin n I set it with mineral powder n an good to go ! I just purchased it but my first impression 2 thumbs up!! I highly recommend it!
If your current MAC foundation makes you oily, chances are... it always will. That could mean you stop using it & find a foundation that is good for oily skin, such as ones with matte finish. And try the UD D-Slick setting spray
no foundation gets rid of 'oily face'. you'll have to experiment. generally the ones that don't get oily are long lasting, concealer type foundations. You have to be careful with these not to wear them for too many hours because they do tend to suffocate the skin and that leads to premature wrinkles and fine lines.

You need to find an oil-free foundation and make sure to always set your makeup with powder.
